The most important thing you can do before you buy a Canaan Dog puppy is to learn all that you can about them before you make the average 14.5 year commitment; search the web, buy Canaan Dog books form the web. I welcome visitors to help you learn about them. Socializing a young Canaan is the most important training you should do and you must start early or you may end up with a shy dog. Interview required--We need to meet or talk on the phone (if you're out of the area) before you'll officially be placed on the waiting list. Not only do I want to make sure you have learned all you can about Canaans, I also want to learn about you so I have the right information to help pick the right puppy for you. Most prospective buyers who contact me are interested in a pet/companion, but since I went to the expense of importing two Canaan females from England, I will give preference to show/breeding homes.
Deposits: Will not be accepted until the puppies are on the ground and I feel there will be a puppy suitable for your home. A $200 deposit is required to hold a puppy for you. Deposits are not refundable if you change your mind, but if I determine that there is not a suitable puppy, then a refund will be given.
Costs: I charge $850 for pet quality puppies, more for show quality. Fee includes first shots and microchip ID
Airline shipping costs and crate to be paid by buyer.
